TDJRL; Zonta Townsville & Zonta Townsville Metro – Domestic and Family Violence Awareness Day

We will be going Purple on the 31st May, 2025 in an effort to bring awareness to the topic of domestic violence against women.

Zonta Townsville Inc and Zonta Townsville Metro have joined forces with the Townsville District Junior Rugby League to host a Domestic and Family Violence Awareness Day on the 31st May at the TDJRL grounds in Thuringowa.

We expect a great morning bringing awareness to both the children and their families and have a host of activities prepared for the junior footballers and their siblings. Prizes include tickets to the North Queensland Cowboys game for that evening, Cowboys Mouthguards, Blackhawks caps etc.

The TDJRL and the Referees Association have gotten behind us 100% and have prodvided much of the giveawys and prizes and advertising amongst their community for this day. We can’t thank them enough for the work they have done.

We look forward to working with them over the next year to bring a bigger and better event next year.
