Hi!
Welcome to Brisbane River club page!
Our Club
The Zonta Club of Brisbane River Inc is one of a number of Zonta clubs in the Brisbane area.
The members meet for dinner on the last Tuesday of each month (excluding December) at the venue Hope on Boundary Cafe, Boundary Street, West End 4101 Brisbane (supporting Micah Projects charity to assist vulnerable community members). Meetings commence at 6.30pm and generally conclude by 8.30pm, with a guest speaker invited each meeting. Guest speakers have talked about culturally important events, socially relevant topics, as well as interesting ventures and initiatives! One speaker showed us how she made very realistic-looking food earrings!
Joining our club will not only extend your friendships through fellowship, and hopefully bring you a smile and some joy! but at Zonta Brisbane River club we work together to:
- Have a meaningful impact on women’s lives, in many different ways – i.e. raising and making donations, service, & advocacy
- Keep all members up-to-date with global women’s issues, Zonta initiatives around Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and worldwide, and UN activities
Our goal is to EMPOWER WOMEN – make women’s equality a reality not just in our community, but globally as well.
Our Board
The board is elected annually, and members of the Board take a leadership role but all decisions are contributed to by all club members.
